SRSC was founded by Ron Patrick. Ron's career in security operations has spanned over 30 years and dozens of countries. He first served in the US Army as an Airborne Infantryman. After the first Gulf War, seeking additional challenge and responsibility, Ron volunteered for Special Forces. After 19 years in Special Forces with multiple tours in Africa and the Middle East, Ron retired from the Army in 2011.
He then entered the civilian sector as a private security contractor. He spent a year in Indonesia on a private contract before returning to Iraq as a mid-level leader of the US Embassy's Emergency Response Team. After two years in Baghdad, Ron was fortunate enough to work for three years in the Central African Republic (CAR) as the Protective Security Detail Leader for the U.S. Ambassador and staff. After proving himself in CAR, Ron was selected to reestablish security at the long-closed U.S. Embassy in Mogadishu, Somali. The small team of 18 grew to over four dozen as Ron was promoted to Operations Manager overseeing every security aspect from the physical security of the embassy to the mobile security of the ambassador and his staff for three years.
Ron lives in Murfreesboro with his wife and one daughter, another daughter and two granddaughters live nearby.
Stones River Security and Consulting, LLC takes its name from the historic Stones River which flows through our city. The river was named after Uriah Stone, an explorer and hunter that explored the region in 1767. The Stones River Battle was among the bloodiest in the Civil War with a 29% casualty rate. Only Gettysburg had a higher casualty rate. You can learn more about the battle here.
